Neem tree is known as a miracle tree. Everything from this tree can be used as a remedy for most of the problems people experience in daily life.

This post will be mostly concentrated on using neem powder for hair care.

One of the ways is to make a hair oil with neem powder and any oil you want to use for your hair. My choice of oil is coconut oil, other oils that can be used are olive oil, argan oil, avocado oil, marula oil. (to see which oil use on what type of hair click here)

This infused oil is very good in preventing hair loss, stimulates hair growth, helps with dandruff, and over all makes your hair healthier.

How to make the neem infused oil.

- 4 tablespoons of neem powder

- 400 ml of any oil you want to use

- 30 ml castor oil

You can add essential oil to this if you want to.

!! If you want to make smaller amount of this oil, you can just put 1 tablespoon of neem powder on every 100 ml of oil you use. !!

Process:

1. Put the neem powder into some kind of cloth bag (this will make sure you do not end up having powder stuck in your hair once you use the oil). You can either use a cosmetic mesh bag, or just take a gauze from first aid kit.

I wanted to use this small bag originally, but the powder is too fine so everything I put in the bag went straight out.

So keep that in mind.

Also this would probably be the best thing to use if you want to make oil infused with neem leaves.

Therefore, I decided to look inside the first aid kit, and use the gauze.

This one is, thankfully, thick enough to keep the powder in, but it still has small holes to let all the wanted nutrients in the oil.

I also used a little bit of thread to tie up the gauze.

So, where were we?

After the powder is nicely secured, you can immerse it in a bowl with coconut oil (or any other oil you're using) and close the container.

2. Leave the powder and the coconut oil for 2 weeks to sit, but make sure you shake the container once a day.

3. After two weeks of waiting patiently, remove the cloth bag with neem powder and add castor oil and essential oil. Mix it well, and you are done!

If you are using the powder you will probably notice a little bit of something green in the oil, DON'T WORRY! Those are just small particles of the powder that the cloth couldn't stop from falling out. They won't color your hair or do anything in any ridiculous way, so stay calm.

As for the usage of this oil, I would suggest using it before you wash your hair.

Normally, I put the oils in my hair at night, half an hour before I go to sleep. I wouldn't suggest going straight to bed after you "oil up" your hair, because you may stain your sheets and also there should be some time for your hair to get the oils without any pillow distraction. Next morning you just wash your hair the way you normally do, and you're done.

Your hair soaked up everything from the oils and this way, you can be sure, it got all of the nourishment it needs.
