Blackhead peel off mask VS Holika Holika nose pack

I love using facial masks, but for some reason, I was always very cautious of nose strips and things that were supposed to be "perfect" for blackhead removing. Somehow I didn't think it would work, but lately, even tho it sounds gross, blackhead situation is getting out of control and I just had to take a risk and try these out.

First one I'll talk about is blackhead peel off mask. The one I got is the Pil'aten.

I have to explain why there are no any pictures of this.

Before I even used it I did the before pictures to see if there is any change to be able to show you. However.............

I used it few times, just to check if I was doing something wrong or not, as this is the first peel off mask that is supposed to go on dry skin. Which was how I first tried it, and it did nothing.

I tried again after few days by putting a larger amount and it came with same results.

Few days after I tried to put it on wet skin, and it did.......... nothing.

I mean, there was some dead skin and baby hair on the mask once I peeled it off (I put it on my whole face), but none of my blackheads moved.

I then tried with putting a hot towel over my face for 10 minutes before putting the mask on, and it was the same thing. So I just kinda gave up, and that is why there are no before/after pictures as there is nothing to see. No change whatsoever.

HOWEVER, it has a great peeling effect. It removes the dead skin cells well, so I guess it still has some purpose.

The other one I got is HOLIKA HOLIKA pig-nose clear pack.

I had some problems with getting this product, I thought I won't even get it. It took more than 40 working days for it to arrive, but it finally did so YAY!

I decided to try it this morning, still doubting it will work but what a pleasant surprise it was! It actually worked pretty well.

This product is actually a 3 step kit from a Korean brand HOLIKA HOLIKA. And so far I loved it.

When you open the part for the first step you get a normal nose strip-shaped tissue soaked in some kind of liquid. This liquid is working like a pore opening thingy, you leave it on your nose for 15-20 minutes, remove it and wipe any residue left on your nose. You might even find some of your blackheads already out of their "hiding spots". Frankly speaking, I found it bizarre that just some kind of wet tissue could make these stubborn annoying things run for their life.

Step 2- the nose strip. Ok, so the first thing you need to after wiping your nose dry is to wet it with water and then apply this strip. Press it nicely on your skin, wet your fingers and press on the nose strip again, leave it for 15-20 minutes. Ok, so this strip gets really really hard once it dries, it's kinda painful removing it from your nose (which you do from the edge, slowly!!) It will leave you looking like a freaking Rudolf, but it's worth it. It really is. It took so much goof off my nose.

Step 3- is basically a gel-like strip which is here to nourish and calm your skin, leave it on your nose for 10 minutes, remove it and tap the product residue so your skin can absorb it nicely. This thing leaves your skin clear and super silky smooth.

I still have 2 more of these packs left but will surely order it again, and probably very soon, as for the black peel, I'll probably skip on ordering it.
